The Titan is a big-bad pickup truck by Nissan – a Japanese automobile mogul. It’s manufactured in the States, though, and has been available on the North-American market since 2003. The 2nd generation came to light in 2016 (15 years later). In 2020, the company introduced a refreshed edition with an updated transmission and a mighty V8. As you can imagine, a powerful engine tends to generate a lot of heat.
So, to protect it from any potential “stress” on and off the road, you might want to get the best cold air intake for Nissan Titan the market has to offer. I did a lot of research before compiling a list of the top-three air intake kits for this full-size truck. They will increase the airflow in the engine bay and beef up the powertrain.
Best Nissan Titan Cold Air Intake Reviews
1. K&N Nissan Titan Cold Air Intake Kit
This brand needs no introductions: K&N is one of the biggest manufacturers of aftermarket parts for trucks and SUVs. As for the air intake system, it is compatible with quite a few Nissan nameplates, including, of course, the Titan pickup truck. With it, you’ll get an increase in the throttle response slash acceleration. These positive changes will “kick in” the second you hit the gas pedal with the new air intake installed.
Speaking of the installation, since this is a direct bolt-on kit, you won’t have trouble with it. Just make sure to line the new gear up perfectly with the factory holes and mounts, and that’s pretty much it. I was a bit disappointed by the included installation instructions, however, as they can be misleading, especially for a person with little mechanical experience.

K&N’s air intake kit has everything the average driver’s looking for. It is very easy to install, improves the throttle response (better acceleration and overall performance), and boasts extended compatibility. The only downside: the user manual isn’t very helpful and can end up confusing you instead of guiding.
2. aFe Power Cold Air Intake for Nissan Titan
If durability and reliability are the most important aspects of any third-party gear for you, aFe might be worth your attention. This is a US-made product: it was designed, produced, and tested in Corona, California. The company offers two different variations: a 3-layer dry, and a five-layer oiled filter. They cost pretty much the same, so, it’s up to you to decide which one to pick. A dynamic air scoop is also available (must be bought separately).
The one-piece housing is what I like most about this cold air intake kit. It’s crafted from top-shelf materials and adds to the filtration efficiency and durability. Sadly, the price-tag isn’t very “user-friendly” and you’ll have to pay a top dollar to get this air intake. Other than that, I’d say this is a purchase that you won’t regret.

Nissan Titan drivers with large pockets that seek high-end replacement gear will probably like aFe’s air intake system. It boasts premium material quality, above-average filtration efficiency, and is available with either a dry or an oiled filter. And don’t forget that this is a 100% US-made product.
3. Volant Air Intake for Nissan Titan
The Titan’s V8 requires advanced air filtration to work properly. And you’ll get just that with Volant’s cold air intake system. It has a very unique, attention-grabbing design and looks smooth under the hood. On top of that, it features an insulated lid. Crafted from polished aluminum, it grants easy access to the filter. The best thing about this gear – it comes at a very affordable price (compared to the market average).
On the downside, don’t expect big gains in terms of horsepower, torque, and acceleration. You won’t see significant improvements in MPG (miles per gallon), either. But, that’s more than understandable, given the low cost, and I still consider Volant’s intake kit to be a worthy investment.

Looking for a cheap replacement air intake system, but just can’t seem to find it? Well, I’ve got just the right stuff for you. Volant’s kit rocks a trendy design, includes an easy-access lid, and won’t cost you a pretty penny.

Conclusion
As a full-size pickup truck, Nissan’s Titan is a sure pick. It’s big, strong, good at hauling heavy stuff, and isn’t afraid to get dirty. For off-roading, or just towing a trailer into the wilderness, it’s exactly what the doc ordered. And while the powertrain doesn’t need any improvements, the extra HP/torque that an aftermarket air intake adds will be more than welcome.
And that’s not even its #1 job. With an intake system, you can stop worrying about pushing the engine to the limit. Unfortunately, overheating is a pretty common thing, and the cost of engine repairs is usually very high. So, go back to my list of the best cold air intake kits for the Titan and pick a favorite.
